Scott Mebruer – Executive Director

To say that volleyball is Scott’s driving passion may be an understatement. His love for the game began while watching his older sister play for Cor Jesu Academy in the early 80’s. It only grew as he was drug into the backyard to shag her serves. Eventually shagging led to learning how to pepper with his sister. Watching the Men and Women teams’ medal at the ’84 Olympics only added to his excitement for the game, and when parish leagues offered the sport in 1986 Scott found his passion for the sport would only continue to grow as he played through high school and college. Scott is one of seven original founders of St. Louis High Performance VBC which was founded in 2000. The club was founded in 2000 to provide a consistent training and coaching philosophy for boy’s teams to allow for increased player development that would increase the opportunities for boys to play collegiately. The 7 friends who founded the club all came from the same background that began at St. John Vianney High School which is one of the premier boy’s high school programs in the country with 17 Missouri State Championships in the past 26 seasons. Born from that tradition of excellence and sense of family, Scott strove to build a similar foundation with High Performance and relentlessly pursues to build upon those goals to this day. As the Executive Director of now both a Girl’s as well as a Boy’s club, those goals have not changed. Scott continues to tirelessly look for ways to improve the club and support and expand its mission to help players reach their full potential and assisting them to realize their dreams of playing collegiately. Scott oversees the operation of all club duties, responsibilities and programs while staying focused on short and long term organizational strategy. Scott attended and played volleyball at Seven Holy Founders Catholic grade school, St. John Vianney High School, and Lewis University.
