Show Me Volleyball Academy (“SMVA”) and High Performance (“HP”) announced today that they have entered into an agreement for SMVA to merge with HP.  An agreement was reached whereby SMVA will now be HP/SMVA South, an extension of the HP program in South County, specifically at the newly remodeled Center STL.

SMVA has built a wonderful club over the last 6 seasons and sits as one of the Gateway Regions top clubs. Over the years I have personally seen the trust and belief our families put in us, and I know SMVA’s families feel the same way about their leadership. After many meetings and discussions, it is clear that the leadership of SMVA share our vision and goals for St. Louis Volleyball. Because of this shared vision of what St. Louis Volleyball should be we know that we are better accomplishing our goals together. Our shared belief in player and coaching development means that we are united on the most important aspects that make us who we are. This merger provides everyone with more resources and gives the SMVA leadership group more time to focus their energies and efforts on player and coach development. It also allows us to build upon what we have been growing and will offer more options and opportunities for everyone involved.

While I am sure SMVA will be a bit sad to close the book on this chapter of their history, we are excited at what the future holds for them as a part of HP. We know this is the best opportunity for everyone’s coaches, players, and for Gateway Region volleyball, and we can’t wait to get started!
