Big Offense in Big Games for Hi-P Alums!!!

Rose Griffin Drops 20 on Beloit!!!

Heading in to the stretch run towards the post season has not slowed down our alums across the collegiate volleyball landscape.

In NCAA D3 volleyball, left side hitter Rose Griffin (2014) led Knox College to an impressive 5 set victory over Beloit College.  In the win, Griffin posted an extremely impressive double/double.  Rose had 20 kills and 18 digs!!!

In NCAA D2 action, a couple of 2013 alums paced their teams in big conference victories.  In the GLVC, Coach Ryan Young and the Tritons posted a big mid-season conference victory over William Jewell.  In the win, Jory Siebenmorgen had a good night at the net with 12 kills and 2 blocks.  Up north in the Northern Sun conference, Southwest Minnesota State, ranked #6 in D2, picked up a big win over #24 Northern State.  In the win, sophomore Middle Blocker Sarah Parker had 8 kills, a .333 hitting percentage and 5 blocks.

In NCAA D1, Samford continued its long winning streak by beating Wofford in 3.  In the win, 2 Hi-P alums error less nights at the net.  Left side Erin Bognar (2013) had 10 kills and no errors and Middle Blocker Emily Meitz (2012) chipped in 8 kills and no errors.  In the ever competitive Big 10, Sam Epenesa (2012) continued her hot play in a win over in state rival Indiana by putting away 12 kills at a .375 clip with 2 blocks. University of Illinois Sophomore Katie Roustio (2013) helped the Illini to a rare win against defending National Champs Penn State in Happy Valley. Roustio had 11 kills in the 4 set win helping her team to the huge Big 10 win.

Heading in to the second half of conference play around the country.  Be sure to set your DVR on ESPNU, The Big 10 Network, the SEC Network, The Longhorn Network and the PAC 12 Network for high level volleyball and keep an eye out for Hi-P alums!!!
