Sarah Wilson recently committed to Missouri Baptist University on a Beach Volleyball scholarship and is the first player out of St. Louis to head to college as a beach only player. She started playing outdoor volleyball two years ago and has dedicated herself to becoming the best player possible. It is extra special for us at HPSTL since Sarah started with our Hybrid program and we have seen her efforts lead the way and help inspire youth outdoor volleyball in the area. The amount of juniors playing outdoors have quadrupled in the last two years and opportunities are continuing to grow as we have added more opportunities like OEP, advanced sand, open play, and brought qualifiers to the region. With players seeing they can earn college scholarships through beach volleyball, hopefully even more players will look to start playing outdoor doubles.
