18s Nationals
The season came to and end for the girls of 18 Royal and Illinois 18 Select in Dallas, Texas last weekend. 18 Royal finished 21st in the National division and were a few points away from having a crossover match to stay in Gold. Illinois 18 Select finished 45th in the USA division.
This is the second year that 18s nationals have been held in April, which allows the girls some time for rest and recovery before reporting to college. While the athletes appreciate the down time to recover and enjoy graduation festivities, it is tough for us to see these girls graduate from our program. Our Illinois team was the first of its kind to earn a bid to nationals. On the St. Louis side, we've had some of these athletes in our program for close to a decade and it has been amazing to watch them mature as athletes and people. Thanks for all you have done for the club. We can't wait to celebrate at your sendoff next weekend.

Gateway Regional Championships 11s-14s
The busy weekend for HPSTL teams continued at the 11s-14s Region Championships, where HPSTL teams brought home plenty of hardware. Illinois 14 National won the Gold bracket in a great match against 14 Royal, who finished runner up. Illinois 14 Select and 14 Orange also finished in the Gold bracket, while 14 Future finished in Silver.
HPSTL 13s swept 1st place in the Gold, Silver and Bronze divisions due to the efforts of 13 Royal, 13 Orange, and 13 White respectively. Illinois 13 Future and 13 Select finished in the Silver bracket, while 13 Gray finished in Bronze.
12 Royal had a great tournament as they ended up placing 2nd in Gold. 12 Orange finished in the Silver bracket, and 12 White and Gray finished in Bronze.
Finally, at the 11s division, 11 Royal finished in Gold, 11 Orange finished in Silver, 11 Gray and Black finished in Bronze, and 11 White finished in Copper.

Show Me Qualifier
The Royal teams led the way for HPSTL at their final qualifier of the year in Kansas City, MO. Once again, 17 Royal took 2nd in Open for back-to-back weekends. They continue to prove they are a top team in the country and are looking to keep the medals coming at GJNC this summer. 16 Royal also had a top 10 Finish as they finished 9th in Open while gathering another win against the Open field! 15 Royal just missed out on a Top 10 finish as they took 11th in a very tough field.
Illinois 17 Select won the Silver bracket of the American division, while 17 Orange took 15th in USA. In the 16 USA division, 16 Orange lost a tough challenge set on Day 1 after finishing 2-1. They finished the tournament 36th and IL 16 Select took 44th in USA. IL 16 Future took home a top half finish at 48th in American.
15 Orange finished the highest of any HPSTL team at 15 USA with a 19th place finish. IL 151 Select won their Bronze bracket to finish 25th and IL 152 Select finished 42nd.
