The girls teams headed to Topeka, KS for their Pre-National Tournament for the second consecutive year. The Tournament was hosted by KC Power and Topeka Impact and was focused on matching up teams based on what level they qualified to ensure the most competitive matches possible. The tournament also has an emphasis on playing high level teams as much as possible, so instead of focusing on a tournament championship, teams play in two pools against similar opponents.

HPSTL teams represented the Gateway Region well and were also able to relax at the giant BBQ hosted by KC Power/Topeka Impact on Saturday night. Having a connected hotel to the convention center, HPSTL families busted out the lawn chairs and relaxed with the help of some good food and music while socializing!

The boys teams headed to Chicago and California to prepare for BJNC in a few weeks. 16-18 Royal went to Anaheim to play some of the toughest teams in the country and came back with solid results. 18 Royal placed 5th after losing in the quarters to the eventual champions. 17 Royal followed in 18 Royal's footsteps as they also finished 5th by losing to the eventual champs.16 Royal finished two points shy of the Gold bracket and ended up in the Silver Bracket. All teams looked primed to make runs at the championship in Columbus.

B18 Orange went 5-3 on the weekend, while 17 Orange went 4-4-2 and 17 White went 3-4-1 against a very tough 18s field. Next stop for all teams is Columbus!
